Your Local Masonry & Stonework Experts in Forest Hills
If you're in Forest Hills and need masonry & stonework, Prime Restoration & Construction is your local expert. We've been serving Queens County and the surrounding areas for over 25 years, and our crews know Forest Hills properties inside and out.
Queens' two-family homes and attached houses mean that damage in one unit often affects a shared wall, basement, or neighboring property, which adds coordination to every restoration job. The borough's mix of older single-family homes and denser multi-family blocks each come with their own quirks — older homes often have outdated electrical and plumbing, while attached homes require careful containment to avoid affecting neighbors. We've restored and renovated properties across Queens for years and know how to navigate parking, access, and co-op or landlord approval where it applies.
When you call Prime, you get a team that understands the specific challenges facing Forest Hills homeowners. We're licensed, insured, and available 24/7 for emergencies. Call us at 631-922-9900 or request a free quote online.

FAQ
Masonry Questions in Forest Hills
A properly installed stone or brick patio with correct base preparation and drainage can last 30-50+ years. The key is the base — improper base preparation is the #1 reason patios settle, crack, or heave. We excavate to the proper depth, install geotextile fabric, and use the right base material and compaction for Long Island's soil conditions.
Yes. We handle all types of masonry repair — repointing deteriorated mortar joints in brick walls, repairing cracked chimneys, fixing spalling concrete, resetting loose pavers, and restoring historic stonework. Repointing is particularly important on Long Island — deteriorated mortar lets water into your walls, which freezes and expands in winter, accelerating damage.
Retaining wall costs vary widely based on height, length, material, and site conditions. A basic concrete block wall might start at $40-$60 per square foot, while a natural stone wall can range from $80-$150+ per square foot. We provide a detailed estimate after assessing your site, soil, and drainage needs.
